The Discovery Theater is located in the S. Dillon Ripley Center, next to the Castle and
100 yards east of the Smithsonian Metro station, Mall exit. The Center is underground and
is accessed by entering the kiosk depicted in the photo, and taking the elevator down 3 floors.
Walk past the escalator and just past Smithsonian Associates offices, take the next
corridor on the right to the Discovery Theater Box Office and entrance, or walk straight to
another Discovery Theater entrance on the right.
Metrorail Directions
Smithsonian station, Orange/Blue/Silver Lines
Exit on the Mall. Walk south to Jefferson Drive and east to the S. Dillon Ripley Center.
Parking
Parking spaces may be available on Jefferson Drive on the Mall.
Jefferson Drive is one-way from west to east.
There are no parking meters on Jefferson Drive. Please read the
parking signs carefully should you choose to park on Jefferson Drive.
