Master basket weaver Lori VanKirk Schue guides students of all levels in creating a beautiful basket using twilling and twining techniques. These methods produce unique and interesting patterns different from the standard over-and-under weave. The workshop introduces working with a slot base, and includes a discussion about various materials suitable for basket weaving, instruction in preparing materials, and guidance in working with the tools to create a one-of-a-kind basket

Students supply spring-type clothespins, a small straight-nosed garden clipper, and a dish towel. All other materials and shared tools are provided. A $35 supply fee is payable to the instructor.

One 3-hour session
