In his acclaimed What Makes It Great? series, beloved educator, composer, and former NPR music commentator Rob Kapilow unravels and explores the elements that combine to render a musical composition a masterpiece.
In the upcoming season, Kapilow brings his insights to enduring musical works. Each session follows a three-part format. Kapilow first offers an in-depth discussion of the featured work. Next, the piece is performed in its entirety. A question-and-answer session with the audience and performers rounds out the program.
